"Once again true dialogue is not about trying to get my point across, but about demonstrating my interest in the Other.... It’s about managing to convey my interest in somebody else; that my interest goes beyond self-interest..
It is being in relation...."

We’re psychotherapists, and teachers of psychotherapy, but know that this isn’t the way for everyone. We also know that a little insight and skill in the field of human relationships can go a long way, so we’d like to find a way of helping people to add value to their existing interpersonal skills: a little more self-awareness, a more attentive presence, a ‘safer space’, can be surprisingly life-changing, enhancing our quality of living and our relationships.

Mary MacCallum Sullivan
B Ed(Hons), MA, UKCP Reg.

A psychotherapy practitioner, teacher and supervisor; mother, friend. A voluntary ‘exile’, returned to my native Scotland to complete a circle. Passionate about ethical and reflective living, interpersonal, social and international justice, personal responsibility and accountability, and about an enhanced level of awareness of ourselves-with-others that enables us to live our lives more ‘intentionally’.

Students have said of Mary as a teacher:
"Mary inspires and challenges and creates a safe space all at the same time….a phenomenal combination!"

"The wisdom of Mary’s adage ‘less is more’ becomes so clear as time goes on."

"Something about Mary’s presence makes taking risks you never dreamed you’d take, seem possible."

Harriett Goldenberg
MA, MSc, C Psychol, AdDipEx, UKCP Reg.

A psychotherapist and counselling psychologist, teacher, supervisor, partner, mother, friend, someone who has lived as a ‘stranger’ for her adult life, dedicated to the biblical injunction ‘tikkun olum’(repair the world), and the practice of ethical living.

Students of Harriett’s have had this to say:

"I was amazed by what happened just within one day together. Harriett held the space so well. Made us feel safe to explore ourselves, and divulge to each other. By the end of the day something had happened."

"What a special experience. I have learned about myself and others, and been affected in unexpected ways. I’ve come away from the day different than I was this morning, opened up so to speak, but not unravelled. Feels good."

"Harriett creates a very alive, but safe atmosphere. So much can happen in just one day."

"Who would have imagined that so much discomfort about being foreign, brought together could lead to a calm, even exhilarated feeling!"

Together, Mary and Harriett have collaborated in creating and leading workshops and training courses which are innovative, boldly conceived, yet soundly and safely organised and managed.
